I’m not sure how to design my banner. Can you help?
- We can assist you in your banner design. Please submit all logos, photos, graphics or text to art@wholesalebannershop.com. We will let you know what we can do for you or any additional work you need to do. No proofs will be e-mailed without payment or a completed Purchase Order.
Do the banners have grommets?
- Yes. Every banner comes with grommets included at no additional cost. Typically, the grommets are placed at all 4 corners and every 2’ between.
Are the banners full color?
- Yes. You can fill the entire banner with color. You no longer are limited to colored cut vinyl. You can even put a full color picture on your banner.
Can I use my banner outside?
- All banners are designed to be a temporary type of sign. We have seen banners last for years, properly mounted outdoors. We use Eco-Friendly inks that will withstand the harshest elements.
Will they hold up to high winds?
- That depends on where and how the banner is mounted. If you have it on two poles in the middle of the field, it will do ok, but not as good as mounted on the side of a building. We recommend using Bungee cords instead of string, twine or zip ties. This allows the banner to give with the wind.
What is “Scrim”?
- Scrim banner material is a durable banner with fabric woven into it for durability. All our banners are made of scrim material. This ensures you receive a high quality, long lasting banner. Be careful of the cheap Poly banners others will sell. These are not reinforced and may rip or tear much easier.
How is my banner shipped?
- Each banner is shipped rolled in a FedEx approved mailing tube. This tube is re-useable for storage of your banner when not in use.
Do you hem the banners?
- The low cost of the banners do not include hemming. We can hem them for an additional cost. Most applications do not require hemming. If you’re using the banner indoors or on a wall outdoors, you don’t need to hem the banner. The only time hemming is worth the extra cost, is a banner that is suspended between two poles outdoors, or in a place where high winds are expected. Again, how long is the banner going to be used? If it’s just a temporary sign, you don’t need hemming. One trick for outdoor hanging is to use Bungee cords instead of string or rope. This will allow for the banner to move with the wind instead of trying to resist it.
What is the resolution of the printing?
- We use 720x720 dpi resolution. Some companies will claim they use 1080 dpi, but you will not notice any difference on a banner. Banners are designed to be seen from a distance. You could even get away with 72 dpi, in which a lot of artwork is designed in. Here are the recommendations:
- Trade Show - 300dpi
- On a wall in a store - 72dpi - 150dpi
- Outdoors - 72dpi
Are you open 24/7?
- Yes. Our production department runs 24/7 and this is why you can receive next day turnaround. Our customer service hours are 10am to 6pm CST.
If I live close, can I pick up my banners?
- Yes, you can. We are located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, right between Milwaukee and Chicago.
How do I upload my artwork?
- Your artwork can be e-mailed to art@wholesalebannershop.com. If your e-mail provider does not allow large attachments, please contact us and we will provide you with an upload FTP site. You only need your web browser to send the files.
What format do you accept for the artwork?
- We accept .pdf .eps .jpg .tif .psd .ai. Please design at actual size or specify what percentage you designed in. For example, if you designed the artwork at 10%, we will print the banner at 1000%. Keep in mind that graphics will distort slightly when enlarging unless vectorized prior to design. If using photos on your banner, try to design at 100%. Please convert all text to outlines as we don’t have every font available.
How much is shipping?
- Shipping typically is under $10 for any single banner to a commercial address. The more you order, the more shipping will increase.
What types of payment do you accept?
- We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Net 30 terms are available only to established, credit approved companies.
How long will it take to get my banner?
- All banners are shipped via FedEx Ground. We are located in the central US, so shipping is pretty quick. As of September 1st, 2009, we no longer will accept UPS Shipper numbers. You may still supply a FedEx Shipper number.
How do I order my banner?
Will I receive a proof before printing?
- Yes. You will receive a .pdf proof before printing. If you submit a print-ready .pdf, we will check it for compatibility, but will only end up e-mailing you what you submitted.
I have a logo, but it’s really small. Can you enlarge it without loosing any resolution?
- Yes, we can enlarge your logo. We offer free vectorizing services. This is where we take your .jpg logo and convert it to outlines. This allows your logo to be enlarged without any distortion. Feel free to email your logo and we’ll let you know what we can do with it. Keep in mind that if it’s too small, there’s not much anyone can do.
